How to Make Christmas Sprinkle Cookies
- Make the cookie dough: Cream the unsalted butter and granulated sugar. Add the eggs, vanilla extract, and almond extract and mix until smooth. Add in the dry ingredients (all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, and salt) and mix on low speed until a soft dough forms.
- Chill the cookie dough: Portion the cookie dough using a medium cookie scoop. Roll the cookie dough balls in Christmas sprinkles. Chill the dough balls for 30 minutes.
- Prep and preheat: Preheat the oven to 350โ (177โ). Line baking sheet pans with silicone baking mats or parchment paper.
- Bake the cookies: Place the cookie dough balls on the prepared baking pans. Bake the cookies for about 12 minutes. Cool the cookies on the pan for 2 minutes and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Recipe Tips
- Be sure to chill the cookie dough before baking the cookies. This helps control the spreading of the cookies and helps create the perfect soft and chewy texture.
- Use nonpareil sprinkles to easily cover the entire surface of the cookie. I don’t recommend using jimmies for this recipe.

Hi! Can the Christmas sprinkle cookies be frozen for a week before using?
Thank you!
Hi Julie! Yes, you can freeze the cookies in an airtight container. When you are thawing the cookies out, I recommend spreading them in one layer on a tray for the best results.
